What sports did you play in youth or college?
Baseball and soccer when I was a youngling, but ice hockey had my heart when the Coyotes came to town. Played that up until high school.
How has crossfit changed your life?
It’s helped me live a healthier lifestyle and become more knowledgeable about weightlifting. I used to not like lifting weights because I felt so lost in what to do or how to do it, so I love the structure and variety of the WODs. Looking back and seeing where I started and where I am now has motivated me to educate myself and be mindful on how to live a more physically and mentally health life.

What celebrity do you get mistaken for?
No one has ever told me…the suspense is killing me!
If you had to choose your last meal, what would it be?
Baked ziti in a bread bowl
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Putting myself through college. It was hard and extremely stressful at times, but it taught me a lot about how to manage my life and establish good financial habits.

Genuine enthusiasm in what you do.
What advice would you give to someone who is just starting Crossfit?
Ask questions and practice good form in the beginning. Establishing solid technique right off the bat will only accelerate your progress as you become stronger. The speed and efficiency will come so be patient, and you’ll know when to hit it hard. Seeing that confetti rain down on SugarWOD after a repeat WOD is one of the most satisfying feelings.
