Someone smart once told me that CrossFit comes down to 3 basic movements - the push-up, the pull-up and the squat. With that in mind, we thought the push-up would be the perfect exercise for our very first Magna Challenge.
The officially unofficial official rules are as follows!
Students will be tested on the improvement of their 1 set max effort and 3 set max effort the week of June 13. For example, if you tested in class on Monday and your scores were 50, 40, and 30 your baseline numbers would be 50 for 1 set max effort and 120 (50+40+30) for 3 set max effort. If you have not been tested by a coach, you have until the end of class on Saturday to make arrangements to be tested! This is a FREE competition with actual prizes so you have nothing to lose!
We will work push-ups into most of our classes during the next 3 weeks. You should also work on your strength at home. If you are looking for ideas of how to build this into your daily routine talk to a coach the next time you are in for class.
